Sometimes you don't get it, until you are in it.
Careloom was founded by Sonya Waitman after losing her mother to her battle with Alzheimers. Looking for a way to give back, she began volunteering at a local care facility, only to see the same issues of lonely seniors and disconnected families that she experienced with her mom, exist at this facility:
- Seniors
seperated from the people that love and care for them most.
- Familes
frustrated with the limited scope in which they can support and connect with their loved one.
- Staff
frustrated with inadequate information about incoming residents to support the transition.
